Leaders in Cultivating Vibrant Spaces
As city builders, we take great pride in our unique ability to identify long-term potential to create value and transform unrealized possibilities into vibrant destinations and innovative communities. With a 50-million-square-foot land bank, we have the resources and the mandate to plan for long-term horizons, positioning Cadillac Fairview to be nimble and respond to market opportunities as they arise.
CF has earned a reputation for making bold moves due to our successful acquisition and development of lands adjacent to cities’ traditional core regions, seeding investment in high-potential districts. We deployed this core-shifting strategy in downtown Toronto to develop the “South Core,” a combined five-tower scheme that includes Maple Leaf Square, ÏCE Condominiums, and 16 York Street.
Investing in the Future
Our initial investment was the catalyst for $4 billion of subsequent redevelopment activity in the area. This strategy has also met with success in Montreal with the creation of Quad Windsor, CF’s $2 billion development plan. Quad Windsor includes the revitalization of Windsor Station, five residential towers (featuring Tours des Canadiens 1, 2 and 3), and two office towers, including Tour Deloitte.
Looking ahead, CF will bring to life the East Harbour master plan, extending Toronto’s downtown to a new “Eastern Core.” The project that will encompass more than 10-million square feet of commercial development, including office, retail, and entertainment components, all adjacent to what will be Toronto’s second largest multi-modal transit hub.
