TORONTO, ON (November 25, 2025) – Cadillac Fairview (CF) is proud to celebrate the evolution of one of North America’s busiest shopping centres with the addition of three iconic brands at CF Toronto Eaton Centre including the first Simons in the downtown core, Eataly’s fourth location in Canada, and a new Nike flagship store. All three retailers are now officially open at the centre, located in the space formerly occupied by Nordstrom.
"This year has marked a new chapter for CF Toronto Eaton Centre as we welcomed three incredible global brands to the downtown core," said Sal Iacono, President & CEO, Cadillac Fairview. "Our long-standing commitment is to continuously build and transform communities across Canada by delivering unparalleled experiences. The arrival of Simons, Eataly, and Nike, alongside our existing offerings, underscores the unique role CF Toronto Eaton Centre plays in connecting people from across the city and around the world."
The three-level, 112,000-square-foot Simons store opened in September as the company’s 19th location in Canada and its second new Toronto store this year. This latest opening reflects a nearly $100 million investment in the Greater Toronto Area and creates approximately 400 new jobs. Simons introduces its distinctive blend of fashion, art, and design, further strengthening a partnership between Simons and Cadillac Fairview that spans over 20 years.
The long-awaited unveiling of Nike’s new two-level flagship store in October marks a significant moment for the Toronto retail scene. The store offers an unparalleled shopping experience, including an exclusive first look at Canada's inaugural NIKE BY YOU customization experience, which allows shoppers to personalize Nike shoes. The opening was marked by a special ribbon-cutting ceremony, drawing an enthusiastic crowd fueled by a lively drumline and dynamic dance crew.
Joining the diverse array of food and beverage options, Eataly Eaton Centre opened its doors in November as the global Italian marketplace and retail concept’s fourth location in Toronto and its third store in partnership with Cadillac Fairview. The 25,000+ square foot space features a variety of quick-service counters on the ground floor, including Il Gran Caffè for coffee, La Pasticceria for pastries, Pizza alla Pala for Roman-style pizza, and Il Gelato. The upper level offers two restaurant options: La Pizza & La Pasta and La Piazza, an intimate bar with an aperitivo menu. Guests can also discover hundreds of Made in Italy products and over 500 wine labels in the retail marketplace.
These major openings are complemented by the recent additions of New Zealand menswear line Rodd & Gunn, Canadian intimates company Knix and luxury jeweller, Chow Tai Fook.
Since 2010 CF has invested more than $1.6 billion in CF Toronto Eaton Centre, including the redevelopment of the Queen Street pedestrian bridge, the purchase of the Hudson Bay Centre block and 401 Bay Street, the redevelopment of 290 Yonge Street, and most recently, the revitalization of the centre’s galleria skylight roof, improvements to elevators and the addition of three new staircases.
