Cadillac Fairview has published its annual ESG Report, this will open in a new tab, highlighting the progress of the company’s sustainability priorities over the past year, guided by its Purpose of Transforming Communities for a Vibrant Tomorrow. “This year’s report continues CF’s tradition of acting with purpose to deliver results and showcases our dedicated efforts to meet sustainability targets,” commented Sal Iacono, President & CEO, Cadillac Fairview. “Our continuous investments in our properties, our people, and our culture underpins our proven track record of environmental and community impact. Looking ahead, we remain committed to fostering vibrant communities.” On the environmental front, CF delivered strong performance against our emissions, energy, and water targets. We achieved a 25% absolute reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions since 2017 and continue to hold the most Zero Carbon Building Certifications in Canada. Key decarbonization projects were completed across the portfolio, including the installation of AI-optimized HVAC systems and recovery-based heating infrastructure. We also continued to reduce operational waste to support long-term efficiency. From a social perspective, employee engagement remains a strength, with 87% of employees expressing pride in working at CF. Our OneCF culture continues to drive inclusion, wellbeing, and development initiatives across the company. Externally, we contributed over $2.6 million to Canadian charities. This year's report also includes a new section on client satisfaction, reflecting CF's ongoing commitment to service excellence and deepening relationships with our clients. On the governance side, we continued to strengthen ESG oversight and reporting. In 2024, we refreshed our ESG materiality assessment to ensure it reflects the evolving expectations of our stakeholders and used the results to guide this year's report content. We also advanced our ESG data governance program, enhancing internal controls, assurance processes, and alignment with leading disclosure frameworks. This year's report is a testament to the talent and dedication of CF's people and our continued integration of ESG into business strategy, risk management, and day-to-day operations. We're proud of our progress and remain focused on creating long-term value for our stakeholders. CF’s annual ESG report highlights company activities and accomplishments between September 1, 2023, and August 31, 2024, the reporting period for the organization’s national sustainability program, Green at Work®.
